About Swoffers

Craig’s 20 years of experience in our Open Market Team has led him to be well-respected in his field and instrumental in the sale of some the island’s most prominent Open Market properties. He moved to the island from Cape Town, South Africa and joined Swoffers as an Open Market Negotiator in 2002 and later joining our board of directors.

Craig enjoys outdoor activities as well as spending time with his family.

Shauna Clapham has been with Swoffers for almost 35 years and is a Director of and shareholder in the company. Day to day she is responsible for Open Market sales and is a key member of the executive team. Shauna has been included in the IFC Power Women 200 which recognises women of achievement who promote business excellence in their home jurisdiction.

Outside of the office Shauna enjoys walking her lively dog and gets involved in various fundraising events.

Spencer has been a part of Swoffers since 1997 and became a director and shareholder two years later. He has a proven track record, particularly at the top end of the Local Market where he has sold a number of substantial homes in a discreet and confidential fashion.

Spencer is a keen sportsman, concentrating mainly on his favourite sports, hockey and cricket.

Andre joined the company in 2005 and heads up the Local Market department. With nearly 30 years sales experience he has sold some of the Island's most expensive local market homes but enjoys operating at all levels of the market. He is often the public spokesperson for Swoffers with regular appearances on the radio and television. 

Andre enjoys skiing, cricket, and golf. He is a big supporter of Guernsey FC and is an avid boxing fan.

Sophie Ephgrave is a Director and Shareholder in Swoffers. An experienced member of the team of a she has been working for Swoffers for almost 20 years. Sophie has a wide breadth of knowledge of the Guernsey property market and has successfully negotiated many high-value property sales.

Sophie enjoys horse riding and cliff walking in her spare time.

Alex has been at Swoffers since 2019 in Local Market sales before moving to Open Market Team in early 2019 bringing across his skills and breadth of knowledge. Alex enjoys being involved in every aspect of being a sales negotiator and offers an enthusiastic, friendly, and professional service to all.

Alex's main interest is playing guitar and often plays gigs around the island. 

Simon joined the Open Market team in 2022 having spent a total of 24 years at Specsavers in various finance, commercial and retail roles. A qualified accountant, Simon’s time at Specsavers was punctuated by a 5 year spell starting up and operating a successful retail business along with his wife, Karen. Simon was born and grew up in Guernsey and is one of the island’s biggest fans, always delighted to show our overseas Open Market clients what a beautiful and interesting place it is.

Simon spends much of his ‘spare’ time at home with his family helping to look after their ponies and running around after a seven year old daughter who has a much more packed social calendar than he does!

Sue is a long-time member of the Swoffers family. She embarked upon her career with us well over twenty years ago in the Local market sales department. Sue has since spent over a decade specialising in Open Market rentals.

Sue is at her happiest when in the great outdoors; she enjoys regular walks with her puppy on the stunning South coast cliffs or the beaches of the West coast.

Scott has worked at Swoffers for over 12 years. He has a solid and successful understanding of the Local sales market and is competent dealing with all aspects of the market, thriving on anything that is put to him.

Scott is a keen sportsman in hockey, golf, cycling and running and enjoys any challenge that is thrown his way. 

Sarah joined the Local Market sales team in 2019. Sarah began her career working for a large corporate events company in London before to the island and working in the travel sector, where she enjoyed providing a great customer experience.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys horse riding, when she can, and exploring the cliffs with dog.

Simon joined Swoffers after relocating to Guernsey and brings with him over 12 of estate agency experience, having previously worked as an estate agent in Winchester. Day to day, Simon is responsible for carrying out viewings, valuations and negotiations as well as maintaining regular contact with vendors.

Simon enjoys playing football and is a season ticket holder at his football team Tottenham Hotspur.

Antonia is an established member of the Local Market team where she enjoys looking after first-time buyers navigating their way through the not-so-scary process of finding their first home.

Originally from London, Antonia is a now a true island convert and enjoys all aspects of Island life with her family.

Laura joined Swoffers in September 2009 and her role concentrates on both the Local and Open rentals market. Her duties range from initial enquiries from prospective landlords and tenants right through to the moving day. Her friendly, honest, and informative approach ensures plenty of repeat business and she always strives to deliver a first-class service with a smile. 

Laura loves getting stuck into anything arts and crafts. When she is not in the office, she’ll usually be walking her two dogs or at the beach.

Having always been interested in working in Real Estate, Demi-Lee joined Swoffers in 2019 joining our busy Rentals Team assisting in viewings, valuations and providing great customer service to our applicants.

Demi usually spends her spare time usually chasing after her lively two-year-old son. She also enjoys keeping healthy and likes to go on cliff walks and go to the gym and trying out new healthy recipes.

After travelling around South America, Annie joined our busy Lettings team at the end of 2022. Her duties day-to-day include assisting in viewings, valuations and providing a friendly and professional service to both our Landlords and applicants.

In her spare time Annie loves to keep active and being outdoors spending her free time playing tennis, boxing or surfing. She also has a passion for cooking and loves to experiment with new foods.

Nikki's experience of working in Property Management for almost 15 years proves she is a strong multi-tasker, Nikki can deal with any challenge that arises whilst looking after a large portfolio of properties, both tenanted and those that are vacant whilst owners are away from the Island. 

As well as a keen interest in photography and art, Nikki is a keen pistol shooter, competing in National and International competitions including representing Guernsey in the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018. 

Jamie joined the Swoffers Property Management Team at the end of 2022. With over 35 years of experience in areas including facilities management, property restoration, maintenance and management, he brings a unique attribute to provide a professional and competent service, to both Landlords and Tenants alike. 

Jamie enjoys travelling off the island enjoying holidays as well as staying active on Guernsey’s cliffs and swimming.

Jessica began her career in property management in 2018 and joined Swoffers in 2019. She has always had a keen eye for detail and her eagerness to progress led her to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Real Estate

In her spare time, she enjoys sea swimming, planning trips and getting outside to tend to their small holding.

Previously travelling around the USA, Australia and Canada, Lucas brings a wealth of knowledge to Swoffers. Having previously been an amateur property manager for his parents, it was finally time to go professional joining the Property Management Team. 

Lucas enjoys being active outside of the office, being an active gym goer, exploring the cliffs, bouldering and found a new interest in cold water swimming.

Katie joined Swoffers in October 2021, joining us from a local law firm where she spent over 5 years within the local conveyancing world. She is now using her property industry experience to assist our property managers with their portfolio of properties.

Outside of work she loves spending time with her growing family and friends.

Karina joined the property management team in January 2023 to assist with their portfolios. She joins Swoffers with excellent interpersonal and social skills gained from her previous careers in the hospitality industry.

Karina has recently moved to the Island after falling in love with the Island. In her free time she loves spending time with her godson, catching up with friends and travelling to new places as much as possible.

After a career buying and developing spectacle frame ranges for a global market in the optical industry, Luella was looking for a complete change and joined Swoffers in 2017 as Office Manager. She brings a wealth of knowledge from a corporate environment, and with her great project management skills is ready to multitask wherever needed.

Luella loves travelling and spends her spare time researching the next family jaunt. She also loves being outside whenever possible walking the cliffs or swimming in the sea.

Courtney joined Swoffers in August 2021, after spending the last five years working in HR in the finance industry. Her role here at Swoffers is to assist the busy Open Market team and manage their diaries on a day-to-day basis. She is also responsible for the HR function within our office and manages all aspects of the employment process.

Courtney has previously lived in Australia and Vietnam, which fuelled her love for travelling. Her other passions include long runs on the cliffs, cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Stephanie joined Swoffers in 019 after having enjoyed a period of works experience with the company. She realised that she was very interested in Local Market sales and rentals and the ‘behind the scenes’ process of it all

Steph is a bit of a speed freak and enjoys sand racing down Vazon or enjoying riding around the motocross track at Pleinmont during the winter season. 

Bev has worked for Swoffers for over 25 years. Her current role is local market secretary/PA and occasionally covering reception duties, which involves typing property details, preparing conditions of sale, liaising with advocates and organising viewings.

In her spare time, Bev enjoys water colour painting and spending time with her grandson.

Sarah joined the Administration Team in August 2022 as our Receptionist. Sarah worked in the finance industry for over 20 years as an Executive Assistant and spent many years on stage dancing and singing with various local groups. Sarah brings an energetic, bubbly and professional atmosphere to our reception.

In her spare time, Sarah has many interior design projects on the go at home and has a passion for travelling to the tropical sunshine in Thailand with her Thai stepson, Ashton.

Melissa joined the Swoffers team in early 2018. Starting in an admin role she quickly moved into the Production team. Her role varies from property details, creating marketing material and managing our growing social media feeds.

Melissa enjoys anything creative and spends her time painting or drawing in her art studio. 

Matt joined the Production team in February 2019. Previously studying at the University of Portsmouth, he quickly made his mark photographing some the prestigious Open Market properties on Swoffers’ books. 

His free time is spent exploring Guernsey’s hidden scenic gems and relaxing playing video games, reading comics, and playing dungeons and dragons.
