  • Matthew Henry - Managing Director

    Matthew has been a director and shareholder of the company since 1999, MD of the company since 2001 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business. On the sales front he deals primarily with the Open Market, advising vendors of the best method for them to sell their properties. In addition, he meets prospective purchasers, shows them suitable properties and gives them an insight into island life - an element of the role he loves as he is proud of the island and the lifestyle that it can give new residents.

    Hobbies & Interests : Matthew is a keen sailor and was Commodore of the Royal Channel Island Yacht Club from 2006-2008. He enjoys the outdoor life which is so easily accessible in Guernsey, such as natural surroundings, cliff walks, swimming and gardening.

    Shauna Clapham - Director

    Shauna Clapham is a Director of and shareholder in Swoffers. She joined the Company in 1987 and was appointed to the Board in 1996. Day to day she is responsible for Open Market sales and is a key member of the executive team.

    Hobbies & Interests : Shauna is married with two young sons. When she is not working she finds time to involve herself in various charity fundraising committees and ventures. She has finished two London Marathons and completed the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ with a team from Swoffers, raising funds for Les Bourgs Hospice. Last year she successfully completed the IOD Diploma in Company Direction and was also included in the IFC Power Women 100 which recognises women of achievement who promote business excellence in their home jurisdiction.

    Spencer Noyon - Director

    Spencer has been a part of Swoffers for seventeen years and a Director and shareholder for the last fourteen years. He heads up the Local Market department, working with a team of four negotiators and two secretaries. He is well known locally and has a strong network of contacts to call upon, whatever the requirement. He has a proven track record, particularly at the top end of the Local Market where he has sold a number of substantial homes in a discreet and confidential fashion, including the most expensive Local Market sale to date.

    Hobbies & Interests : He is a keen sportsman, concentrating mainly on cricket and hockey but happy to try most things (although his golf swing leaves a lot to be desired). Married with two energetic children there is not much time for rest outside the office.

    Craig Whitman - Director

    Craig moved to the island in 2001 from Cape Town, South Africa and joined Swoffers as an Open Market Negotiator in 2002, later becoming a Director and shareholder in 2007. He led the successful re-build of the Company’s Management and Lettings Department, which now boasts a dedicated and professional team of letting and property management agents. Believing in the provision of a tailored and comprehensive service to clients, Craig’s twelve years of experience in Guernsey’s Open Market has led him to be well-respected in his field and instrumental in the sale of some the island’s most prominent Open Market properties.

    Hobbies & Interests : Craig is married with two busy children and even busier dog. He is a volunteer for Every Child Our Future and sits on the Board of Les Cotils Christian Centre.

    Andre Austin - Director

    Andre joined the company in 2005 following a career in recruitment. With over 20 years sales experience he has sold some of the Island's most expensive local market homes but enjoys operating at all levels of the market whether it is guiding first time buyers or marketing luxury developments. His in-depth technical knowledge and experience of the local market has proved to be a vital asset in helping vendors and purchasers in challenging market conditions. He is often the public spokesperson for Swoffers with regular appearances on the radio and other roles include recruitment, PR, sponsorship, social media and producing Swoffers TV.

    Hobbies & Interests : Andre enjoys skiing, cricket and golf. He supports Guernsey FC is a Boxing Fan and an occasional stand up comedian.

    Matt Birch BA (Hons) MRICS - Director - Swoffers Commercial

    Matt has worked in property for over 20 years. Having attained a RICS accredited degree in Real Estate Valuation he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in June 2004 and became a RICS Registered Valuer in 2010. Matt joined Swoffers Commercial in 2011 and was appointed as a director in 2013. He has extensive knowledge of the commercial property market and regularly acts for both landlords and tenants in rent review negotiations. He also specialises in the preparation of RICS "Red Book" Valuation reports for both the banking industry and private clients to use for various purposes such as secured lending and financial reporting.

    Hobbies & Interests : In his spare time Matt enjoys watching Motorsport and restoring Classic Cars. He also plays the drums although this interest isn't encouraged by anyone who has had to listen to him practicing.

    Andy Biggins - Local Market Negotiator

    Andy has been a local market sales negotiator for Swoffers for more than seven years and enjoys the challenge of selling properties across all levels of the market, benefiting from a strong network of contacts. To date he has over 200 properties sales to his name - ranging from first-time buyers' apartments to a sale of more than £3.5m., and he has dealt with all of them with the same attention to detail. A former journalist, he also has a key role in PR for the company.

    Hobbies & Interests : A keen sportsman, he has captained Guernsey at cricket for many years and represented the MCC. He is also the current men's squash captain, is an enthusiastic marathon runner and golfer. Married to Vicky he's a devoted father to Jack, who was born in February 2014.

    Scott Ingrouille - Local Market Negotiator

    Scott has worked at Swoffers for almost 4 years. He joined as a Property Manager, gaining knowledge of the rental department, before taking up a position as a Local Market negotiator 18 month's ago. Quickly settling into the position, he has built up a solid and successful understanding of the sales market and recently negotiated his first sale over £1 million with more in the pipeline........!!

    Hobbies & Interests : Scott likes spending time outdoors and is a keen sportsman thriving on any challenge that is thrown his way. His main interests are hockey, golf and running (having completed the London Marathon). He enjoys spending time with his two young girls (he thinks this is the main cause for his grey hair - and he's fondly known in the office as Silverfox!!))

    Antonia Hazlerigg - Local Market Negotiator

    Antonia joined Swoffers in 2014. She left the world of Architectural PR in London – where she strategised press campaigns for global architectural practices – to join the Local Market Sales Team. Here, she is involved in all aspects of being a Sales Negotiator with an emphasis on new developments such as One, St. Julian's Avenue and Les Residences at Cobo. Keen to not lose her PR edge, Antonia is also responsible for the Local Market advertising and assisting with Swoffers PR opportunities.

    Hobbies & Interests : A new islander, Antonia has thrown herself into Guernsey life in exploring all the Island has to offer including its walks, beaches and touch rugby league. If not outdoors, she'll be pen-in-hand drawing the next children's bestselling story book, hopefully.

    Beverley Esteves - Local Market PA/Secretary & Reception

    Bev has worked for Swoffers for eighteen years. Her current role is local market secretary/PA, which involves typing property details, preparing conditions of sale and organising viewings. Bev also covers reception so will most probably be the first person you speak to either by phone, or greeting you personally in reception.

    Hobbies & Interests : She loves walking Alfie her Labrador, water colour painting and spending time with William her young grandson. Bev is an avid supporter for the charity ‘Headway’.

    Debbie Le Poidevin - Open Market Negotiator

    After a twenty year career in the finance industry, Debbie decided to change direction in her working life and joined Swoffers in 2006 as an Open Market Negotiator. Varying roles within the finance sector, including bespoke client relationship management dealing with some very high profile and high net worth individuals, set Debbie in good stead for catering for the needs of similar individuals when purchasing an Open Market property.

    Hobbies & Interests : Debbie’s interests include property renovation, gardening and cruise holidays.

    Sophie Ephgrave - Open Market Negotiator

    An experienced member of the team Sophie, has been working for Swoffers for over ten years. Having spent 5 years on the Local market team as a Sales Negotiator, 5 years ago she was recruited into the Open Market team. Sophie has a wide breadth of knowledge of the Guernsey property market and as well as working on Open Market Sales, she also deals with Open Market Rentals.

    Hobbies & Interests : Sophie enjoys horse riding and cliff walking in her spare time.

    Sue Nicolle - Open Market Lettings Negotiator

    Sue is a long time member of the Swoffers family. She embarked her career with us over twenty years ago in the Local market sales department. When her twins arrived she spent some time at home being a Mum and returned 12 years ago to sell the Marina Court development during its construction. When the development was sold she moved on to concentrate on building the Lettings department. This coincided with renewed activity in this sector and she spent several years dedicated to this side of the business which underwent a period of rapid growth. More recently Sue has concentrated on Open Market rentals which has similarly seen increased activity, wonderful news for Sue who loves to be busy.

    Hobbies & Interests : Sue is at her happiest when in the great outdoors. A keen runner for many years, these days she limits herself to a more sedate jog, walking her very energetic dog and she's more recently discovered that she enjoys the calming influence of yoga. With 2 teenage daughters to care for there is not a lot of time to spare - which is just fine by her.

    Jenna Bougord - Open Market PA/Secretary

    Jenna has been with Swoffers for over 13 years, starting out as the Secretary in the Local Market department and switching over, 4 years ago, to Open Market and PA to the Directors. Just a few of her other duties include production of particulars, preparation of Conditions of Sale, diary management and general office admin. Jenna also organises social events for the team at Swoffers and is "Volunteer Captain" for the group of Swoffers volunteers for Every Child Our Future.

    Hobbies & Interests : Jenna enjoys spending her spare time with her two children which often involves acting as taxi service to the many sporting events they are involved in! She plays summer league netball and enjoys the relaxation her pilates class offers. Jenna also volunteers for ECOF, helping primary school children learn to read.

  • Ross Yeates - Manager - Lettings & Property Management Dept.

    Ross has been with Swoffers since 2009 and in 2012 was appointed Manager of the Lettings and Property Management Department. He works with a team of eight including three negotiators, three property managers and two secretaries. His day to day role includes managing a large portfolio of both local and open market properties throughout the island. His property management role spans from the first day of a tenancy through to the final day, along with everything in between! This service includes dealing with issues such as plumbing or electrical and liaising with the relevant tradesman. He also negotiates lease extensions and prepares regular reports to the Landlord, keeping them fully informed on how the tenancy is progressing.

    Hobbies & Interests : He loves to surf and can be regularly found scoping the waves down at Vazon. He has also competed at five Island Games for swimming and represented the Island for football. Married with one one young daughter, its safe to say he leads a busy lifestyle!

    Laura Gorvel - Local Market Lettings Negotiator

    Laura joined Swoffers in September 2009 and her role concentrates on local market rentals. She looks after the whole comprehensive rental process ranging from initial enquiries from prospective landlords and tenants right through to the moving day. Her friendly, honest and informative approach ensures plenty of repeat business and she always strives to deliver a first class service with a smile. Laura works closely alongside the rest of her colleagues in the largest rental department on the island and is very proud to be part of such a successful team.

    Hobbies & Interests : She loves shoes, shoes and more shoes! As well as purchasing footwear, outside of the office she likes to find time for horseriding (especially on the beach), holidays or weekends away and getting stuck in to anything arty.

    Rory Read - Local Market Lettings Negotiator

    Rory has been with Swoffers since 2011. Having originally started drawing floor plans and assisting negotiators, where necessary, he quickly proved himself to be an invaluable member of the team and was soon appointed as a local market lettings negotiator. He works alongside eight other members of the rentals team helping to provide the best possible service to potential tenants and existing landlords alike. Rory first moved to the island in 1999 but rapidly became well known thanks to his outgoing personality, he has now gathered a large clientele base which crosses all aspects of our business.

    Hobbies & Interests : He enjoys spending time with friends & family, whether that be on island or abroad. Rory tells us he has never been a great sportsman but his determination means that he has managed to conquer triathlons and also ran 3 marathons in 3 days in 2014. His energy always keep our spirits high even though his jokes sometimes leave a bit to be desired.

    Nikki Trebert - Property Manager

    A strong multi-tasker, Nikki is able to deal with any challenge that arises whilst looking after a large portfolio of properties, both tenanted and those that are vacant whilst owners are away from the Island. With no two days the same, the variety in the role in Property Management brings excitement and interest and Nikki's experience of working in this field for almost 10 years; her strong tradesmen contacts; knowledge of a multitude of problems that can occur and her negotiation skills, helps resolve any issues that occur. There is nothing that passes Nikki's thorough inspections which Swoffers carry out on a regular basis.

    Hobbies & Interests : Nikki is a keen Pistol shooter, competing in National and International competitions including Commonwealth Games 2014. Along with spending time with her husband and her 3 year old daughter, there is little time for her other interests in photography, art and astronomy.

    James Starkey - Property Manager

    James has been with Swoffers since 2013 working as part of the Property Management team with Ross, Nikki and Rosy. He is involved throughout the whole tenancy process from check-in to check-out, including arranging maintenance, liaising with landlords, tenants and tradesmen as well as negotiating extensions.

    Hobbies & Interests : An enthusiastic but sometimes erratic golfer, James also enjoys skiing, football and socialising with friends.

    Rosy Domaille - Property Manager

    The newest member of the property management team, Rosy joined Swoffers in June 2014. She comes from a varied background, bringing with her a broad range of experience. Rosy looks after a diverse portfolio of properties, liaising with tradesmen, tenants and landlords to overcome any issues that may arise, accommodating any queries and endeavouring to answer them as swiftly as possible. She is responsible for overseeing tenancies from start to finish, including check-ins, check-outs, taking inventories and carrying out property inspections.

    Hobbies & Interests : Out of the office Rosy enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, keeping fit and taking part in charitable events. She is an avid shopping fan, with a particular ‘penchant’ for handbags!

    Paula Ryan - Accounts Administrator & Property Management Secretary

    Paula assists Jane part-time in the accounts department with the Lettings and Rental accounts. She also does the accounts for Local and Open Market Sales.   • Jane Falla - Accounts Administrator

    Jane has worked in Swoffers accounts department since 2006. Along with Paula, she manages the lettings and rentals accounts and works closely with the Property and Letting Managers. She also assists with the Open Market and Local Market sales accounts.

    Hobbies & Interests : Jane enjoys walking and has recently taken up running, but will not be signing up for any marathons. She and her husband enjoy cooking and love trying out new recipes on friends and family. A supporter of The Lions Club she often helps them with their fund raising.

    Hobbies & Interests : In her spare time Sophie enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews and socialising. She loves to travel, having recently travelled to Mafia Island, Tanzania to teach English in a number of schools on the island. She would love to go to Indonesia and Australia in the near future!

    Saraya Kirk - Production Manager

    Saraya has been working here since 2013. She is the youngest member of our staff but this has proved to be a positive advantage when it comes to dealing with the more technical aspects of the office. Some of the main tasks of her job involve preparing property details, managing photographs and drawing floorplans. Her job role can be very varied which allows her to work closely with each department on a regular basis, she also carries out the banking and postal duties daily.

    Hobbies & Interests : Outside of the office she enjoys socialising and spending time with close friends and family. She also enjoys taking trips off island whenever is possible.

    Lucy Gosselin BA (Hons) MSc - Graduate Surveyor

    Born and educated in Guernsey, Lucy left the island to study a degree in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. She subsequently worked within the sector for five years, both on island and in the UK, providing her with invaluable experience. Lucy joined Swoffers Commercial in September 2010 and has recently attained a RICS accredited Masters in Real Estate. She has extensive knowledge in the commercial property market and is responsible for commercial sales and lettings, handling multi million pound sales for a number of high profile clients. Lucy also assists in preparing professional reports as part of her APC qualification in order to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor.

    Hobbies & Interests : Lucy is a keen artist and interior designer. Her other hobbies include cycling and travelling.

She also works on Reception on a regular basis, assisting the Local Market secretary. Sophie joined Swoffers in July 2013, after having completing a secretarial course in Oxford.

    Hobbies & Interests : In her spare time Sophie enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews and socialising. She loves to travel, having recently travelled to Mafia Island, Tanzania to teach English in a number of schools on the island. She would love to go to Indonesia and Australia in the near future!
